Brian A. Peterson was born in Galesburg, Illinois. He received his undergraduate degree from DePaul University in 1999, and his Masters of Business Administration degree from Loyola University of Chicago in 2002. Brian earned his law degree from Southern Illinois University School of Law in 2006, where he graduated cum laude and served as commentary editor for the Southern Illinois University School of Law Journal of Legal Medicine.
Brian joined Simpson Peterson in November of 2013 after formerly practicing law in Peoria, Illinois for seven years. Brian’s practice focuses primarily in Personal Injury, Worker’s Compensation, Estate Planning and Estate Administration, Business Law and Agricultural Law.
Brian successfully represents injured clients throughout the State of Illinois and was named one of the 10 Best Lawyers for Personal Injury Client Satisfaction in 2015 and 2016 by the American Institute of Personal Injury Attorneys. He also was named a Rising Star by Illinois Super Lawyers Magazine in 2014, 2015 and 2016.
Brian is a member of the Knox County Bar Association, Illinois State Bar Association, and Illinois Trial Lawyers Association. He is active in the Galesburg community, and currently serves as the Treasurer for the Board of Directors for the Knox County United Way, and President of the Board of Directors for the National Railroad Hall of Fame.
